The African Lakes Hub is a collaborative initiative dedicated to the sustainable management and conservation of Africa's freshwater lakes. This platform unites diverse stakeholders, including scientists, policymakers, and local communities, to tackle the urgent challenges facing these critical ecosystems.
Our achievements would not have been possible without the significant contributions from The Nature Conservancy (TNC). TNC developed the first iteration of this website, providing ACARE the ability to make the site what it is today. TNC has been a generous funder and strategic partner, having empowered us to enhance knowledge sharing, promote best practices, and spearhead innovative solutions that ensure the long-term health and resilience of Africa's lakes.
Together, with our partners below, we are committed to safeguarding these vital water bodies that are crucial for biodiversity, livelihoods, and the well-being of millions across the continent. We welcome like-minded organizations and individuals to join us in this essential mission to protect Africa's lakes for future generations.
